La influencia a corto plazo del 11S sobre las actitudes intergrupales de los adolescentes españoles

Resumen
Se examina el efecto a corto plazo de un suceso especialmente relevante (un gran ataque terrorista) sobre las actitudes de 96 adolescentes españoles de la provincia de Cádiz respecto a tres grupos sociales: marroquíes, musulmanes e inmigrantes. Estos grupos presentan un notable solapamiento, pero no pueden ser objetivamente identificados unos con otros. Los cuestionarios se aplicaron en dos ocasiones: durante un periodo sin sucesos relevantes que afectasen a los grupos referidos, y pocos días después de unos grandes ataques terroristas atribuidos a integristas musulmanes. Las respuestas cognitivas, conductuales y afectivas hacia los tres grupos resultaron muy semejantes, antes y después de los ataques, y cambiaron en sentido negativo después de los mismos.

Abstract
This study examines the short-term effect of a major event (terrorist attacks) on the attitudes of 96 Spanish adolescents who live in the Spanish province of Cádiz towards three social groups: Moroccans, Moslems and immigrants. These groups present a remarkable overlapping, but can not be objectively identified with each other. The questionnaires were administered two times: during a period without relevant incidents related to any of the target groups, and a few days after a big terrorist attack which was attributed to Moslem reactionaries. Adolescents' cognitive, behavioral and affective responses towards the three groups were similar, both before and after the attacks, and changed in a negative direction after the attacks.
